Samuel Miller is a Senior Management Analyst/ Homeless Coordinator for Region II (NY/NJ) Office Field Policy Management (FPM), Sam has held several positions during his 21 plus years tenure in HUD’s Region II Office. Sam’s portfolio includes: Coordinator for Region II Interagency Council on Homelessness. He updates and distribute the Region II Interagency Council on Homelessness Directory.  Sam serves as the senior advisor to the Region Administrator on homelessness. Sam serves and the liaison between HUD and appointed and elected local, state and federal officials as well as public and private nonprofit organizations and agencies.  Sam coordinated the publication and distribution of the Region II Interagency Council on Homelessness Bulletin/Newsletter.  Sam is also assigned to Dutchess, Sullivan and Putman counties; in which he is the liaison between these counties and HUD programs and resources.  Sam is also the FPM office’s liaison to Regional offices of Public and Indian Housing, and the Department of Enforcement.  Sam was assigned to the HUD/FEMA Hurricane Sandy Joint Filed Office. Sam is assigned to Family Unification Program (FUP), Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) working with Public Housing Authorities  and local Child welfare agencies, securing housing for youth and parental  and youth aging out of foster care,  Sam served on several White House’s Initiatives in Region II “My Brother’s Keeper”, Mayor’s Challenge to End Veterans Homelessness” He coordinated Region II Federal Interagency Task on Prison Re-Entry, He coordinates, facilitates and  moderates workshops throughout the region i.e. for the New York State Rural Housing Coalition, Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, New York Stat Homeless Youth Coalition, the Federal Interagency Runaway and Homeless Youth/LGBTQ working group and a NYS wide Federal Interagency Housing and Homeless Working Group. Sam represents HUD (Division 6) Local Combined Federal Campaign, Sam serves as  a member of the NYC CCoC Homeless Youth  committee, NYC CCoC  Homeless Veterans Task Force, Past  President of the Huntington Arts Council, Served as a member of the Board of Director of Hermandad, Inc. and  Previous Chairperson and present  member of the Antioch Church of Hempstead, New York, Board of Trustees. Member of the Town of Huntington’s Board of Ethics.           

Our Purpose


To eliminate unlawful housing discrimination in the housing rental, sales, lending and property insurance markets on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status (presence of children in the family), disability, age, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, source of income, or other basis as defined by law affecting the San Diego regional housing market.
