Michelle Rydz is the founder and Executive Director of High Plains Fair Housing Center, the only fair housing center in the State of North Dakota. Michelle studied fair housing law, testing practices, and the complaint process at the John Marshall Fair Housing Legal Support Center in Chicago and studied with the National Fair Housing Alliance. She advocates for victims of housing discrimination in North Dakota. Michelle began her career as a community organizer in Chicago and later worked with the National Democratic Institute developing advocacy projects in Romania after the fall of communism.
He has supported and contributed administrative service with several community organizations in the city of Sacramento including 30 years of service with the Loaves and Fishes organization serving the hungry and homeless. For the last ten years Professor Freeman has been a Board member and supported The Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution which provides peace and scholarship initiatives in Africa and the U.S. For 22 years Professor Freeman and his wife Carole Bodnar have supported the World Vision organization activities creating economic development and educational initiatives in the country of Ethiopia. He is a supporter of My Sisters House Sacramento, an organization that serves Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. He also is a member and supporter of Sacramento’s Crocker Art Museum which is endeavoring to increase the outreach to the diverse population of the Sacramento area. |
