LIZETTE CARRION has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics. She has worked as an actor in television, film, and theatre since 1994. Throughout her acting career, she has contributed her time and talents to various community action groups and civil rights organizations and previously worked as a tester with the FHJC’s Acting for Justice program.
Ms. Carrion has conducted complex systemic testing investigations that have resulted in the filing of numerous federal fair housing cases. She also developed and implemented effective testing protocols for investigating lender practices. In 2015, a lending investigation she coordinated led to the filing of the first federal lawsuit against a major bank under the Fair Housing Act based primarily on testing evidence. Ms. Carrion previously served as FHJC’s Deputy Director until moving to Los Angeles in August 2015. She continues to work as National Projects & Investigations Coordinator for the FHJC managing national projects and complex investigations while providing training and technical assistance to other public and private fair housing enforcement agencies. |
